Welcome to Early Childhood Programs

 

Do you have a child between the ages of birth and 5?


Do you live in Bradford, Thetford, Corinth, Newbury or Topsham, Vermont?


WE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP YOU IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

  1. BulletBy providing lists of licensed childcare providers and preschools in the area

  2. BulletBy providing contact information for social service agencies, libraries and other community resources

  3. BulletBy collaborating with five partner preschools to offer programs strong in early literacy and numeracy

  4. BulletBy screening your child in a comfortable, play-based setting

  5. BulletBy identifying any developmental concerns or delays

  6. BulletBy offering early educational intervention for preschool children and their families


The Orange East Early Childhood Programs have experienced, licensed early childhood teachers who help preschoolers develop important skills through home visits and support to families as well as through inclusion in local preschool settings.  Developmental areas addressed include:

  1. Bullet Social / Emotional

  2. Bullet General Knowledge / Cognition

  3. Bullet Speech / Language

  4. Bullet Gross / Fine Motor

  5. Bullet Self Help



The Early Childhood Programs of Orange East are:

  1. BulletEssential Early Education - special education for eligible three and four year olds (or five year olds not yet in kindergarten)

  2. BulletCompensatory Early Education - Title 1 services for students with mild developmental delays

  3. BulletSatellite Program - a Vermont Early Education Initiative grant providing tuition assistance to partner preschools for children whose families qualify due to income or educational need
