WE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP YOU IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
By providing lists of licensed childcare providers and preschools in the area
By providing contact information for social service agencies, libraries and other community resources
By collaborating with five partner preschools to offer programs strong in early literacy and numeracy
By screening your child in a comfortable, play-based setting
By identifying any developmental concerns or delays
By offering early educational intervention for preschool children and their families
The Orange East Early Childhood Programs have experienced, licensed early childhood teachers who help preschoolers develop important skills through home visits and support to families as well as through inclusion in local preschool settings. Developmental areas addressed include:
Social / Emotional
General Knowledge / Cognition
Speech / Language
Gross / Fine Motor
Self Help
The Early Childhood Programs of Orange East are:
Essential Early Education - special education for eligible three and four year olds (or five year olds not yet in kindergarten)
Compensatory Early Education - Title 1 services for students with mild developmental delays
Satellite Program - a Vermont Early Education Initiative grant providing tuition assistance to partner preschools for children whose families qualify due to income or educational need
